THE STORY OF THE HIP HOP PARTY FOR CHANGE

Founded in 2020

 Hip Hop, as America's greatest export, has performed well in every single market and made space for every identity. We will teach political education through this lens of DEI used by Hip Hop culture. Hip Hop empowered youth from all backgrounds & so will we. Teaching Pre-K-4 city or local level government and its importance. With an anticipation that children will be able to articulate those roles by grade 4. Grades 5-9 will learn the importance of State government, with anticipation that by 9th grade they will be able to articulate their role; along with understanding of city/local government. This section will also include a true introduction to the Constitution in 8th grade. We will also partner with the youth in the artwares that they create during programming to create businesses, so they learn how State government relates to citizens and businesses.  Grades 10- first voting season, will focus on Federal Elections and how to vote, every one of our graduating classes will create members of a young voters populous who are informed and prepared to vote. We work to hold leaders and decision-makers accountable for their actions, moving them to rethink what is possible as an inclusive society.
